NIGERIA TURKIYE BUSINESS COUNCIL (NTBC) PARTICIPATES IN THE NIGERIA JUBILEE FELLOWS PROGRAMME (NJFP) 2.0 ABUJA JOB FAIR

The NTBC participated as an Employer Organization at the NJFP 2.0 Abuja Job Fair held on 4–5 June 2026 in Abuja.

The NJFP 2.0, an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria implemented by the United Nations Development Programme and funded by the European Union, brought together employers, development partners, and fellows who successfully completed the programme for matching with host organisations. Through a structured twelve-month mentorship and work-placement scheme, the programme seeks to equip young Nigerians with practical skills and professional experience, thereby promoting sustainable employment and addressing youth unemployment.

NTBC’s participation demonstrates the Council’s unwavering commitment to delivering quality services to its members and the general public through the engagement of skilled personnel. It further highlights the Council’s dedication to nurturing young talent and supporting government initiatives that promote youth empowerment, employment, and sustainable national development.

NTBC AND LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPER PARTNER ON INAUGURAL LEADERSHIP LIFETIME AWARDS

As a result of the Nigeria-Türkiye Business Council’s strategic relevance, Leadership Newspaper held a meeting with the NTBC regarding support for hosting the inaugural Leadership Lifetime Awards, scheduled to be held in Türkiye.

The NTBC delegation was led by the Director General, Uche Osoka, alongside Nguavese Tracy Dzungwe, Business Development Manager; Comfort Erim, NTBC Treasurer; and Daniel Ene-Ita, Executive Assistant. The delegation met with the Leadership Newspaper team, including Azu Ishiekwene, Senior Vice Chairman; Mike Okpere, Vice Chairman; Abraham Ndam-Isaiah, Director of Conference; and Ezekiel, General Manager, Conference.

Discussions centred on leveraging NTBC’s strategic network and institutional relevance to facilitate the successful delivery of the inaugural Leadership Lifetime Awards, which is expected to bring together international government officials, business leaders, and institutional stakeholders for a landmark event celebrating outstanding businesses and leadership contributions across Africa.

As an immediate outcome of the engagement, a joint Working Committee comprising representatives of both NTBC and Leadership Newspapers was constituted to coordinate planning and implementation activities for the event.

The engagement further underscores NTBC’s broader commitment to fostering cross-sectoral cooperation by bridging business, media, and institutional stakeholders to strengthen economic and strategic relations between Nigeria and Türkiye.

NTBC Courtesy Visit to SEFA Visa Application Centre, Lagos

A delegation from the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) paid a solidarity visit to SEFA Visa Application Centre in Lagos on Monday, 1st June 2026 as they officially opened their doors for business.

Sefa Visa is the company responsible for receiving and processing Türkiye visa applications in Nigeria.

The delegation was led by Engr. Oyewole Shobande MBA,MIoD ,MNSE,CMRP,COREN, Chairman, Membership Committee, alongside other members of the Council, including Mr. CLETUS CHIBUKO, Vice Chair, Finance Committee, Mr. Omotayo Odejimi, Engr. Emmanuel Alawode (R.Engr COREN, MNSE, MIEEE), Mr. Victor Oyekanmi, Mrs. Affiong Ibanga.

The delegation was received by Mr. M. İsmet Gören country Manager (Nigeria) at the SEFA Visa Application Centre Lagos, where discussions centred on strengthening collaboration and improving service delivery for visa applicants

NTBC continues to support initiatives that enhance trade facilitation and ease of doing business between Nigeria and Türkiye.

NTBC Strengthens Institutional Partnerships Through Visits in Türkiye

As part of ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye, the Director General of the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC), Ms. Uche Osoka, paid visits to key Turkish institutions and industry platforms during her recent working visit to Türkiye.

The engagements included participation in Beauty Istanbul 2026 and Coffex Coffee Fair 2026, providing opportunities to explore partnerships in the beauty, wellness, coffee, and manufacturing sectors.

The Director General also held strategic meetings with the Head of Middle East and Africa Relations at the TİKA Islamabad – Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Mr. Organ Aydin and the Deputy Director General of the Turkish Postal Services (PTT) Mr. Fatih Tezcan aimed at fostering stronger collaboration between Nigerian and Turkish institutions.

The visits form part of NTBC’s broader commitment to promoting trade, investment, institutional partnerships, and sectoral cooperation between both countries.
