NTBC Strengthens Partnership with the Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA) to Advance Women’s Economic Empowerment

The Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC), led by its Director-General, Ms. Uche Osoka, paid a courtesy visit to the Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA) in Abuja to explore areas of collaboration aimed at empowering women and promoting entrepreneurship.

The Director-General was accompanied by Mrs. Comfort Erim, Mrs. MaryRose Richard-Obioha, and Mrs. Bosede Ejiro, women-led business members of NTBC.

During the meeting, NTBC highlighted opportunities for women entrepreneurs in international trade, export development, agriculture, fashion and textiles, digital skills, e-commerce, medical tourism, and business networking between Nigeria and Türkiye.

The National President of COWA, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, welcomed the partnership and expressed interest in connecting members of the association to NTBC’s capacity-building programmes, trade missions, business forums, and international networking opportunities.

The visit further reinforced the shared commitment of both organizations to collaborate in the areas of women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship development, skills acquisition, sustainable community impact, and business growth.
