On Wednesday, 25 March 2026, the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in Abuja.
The NTBC team led by Ms. Uche Osoka, Director General NTBC, was received by Ms. Aisha Rimi, Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, and senior officials to explore strategic collaboration opportunities aimed at boosting investment and economic partnerships between Nigeria and Türkiye.
Key outcomes of the meeting included:
- Presentation of the NTBC report of the Türkiye–Nigeria Government-to-Business (G2B) Roundtable held on the sidelines of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR state visit to Turkiye on 28th January 2026 in Ankara, Türkiye.
- Discussion on potential areas of collaboration between NTBC and NIPC
- Preparations for the Nigeria – Türkiye business forum proposed by the Turkiye Deputy Minister of Trade in Turkiye in January 2026
- Discussion on strategies for strengthening Nigeria–Türkiye investment relations
- Identification of practical approaches for the improvement of investor readiness for Nigerian businesses.
The visit to NIPC reinforces NTBC’s mission to enhance bilateral trade, investment facilitation, and economic cooperation in line with the Federal Government economic diplomacy agenda.
