From June 25–26, 2025, NTBC led a business delegation to the Africa Business Forum and Expo (AFEX 2025) held at the Halic Convention Centre in Istanbul, Türkiye. The event featured 90+ exhibitors seeking African partnerships and drew 2,000+ international delegates.

Key attendees included Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Trade, the Governor of Istanbul, ministers from Burkina Faso, Nigerian Embassy officials, and ambassadors from South Sudan, Togo, and Ghana. NTBC Chairman Dele Kelvin Oye, Esq., delivered a presentation on Nigeria-Türkiye strategic partnerships during the Nigeria Country Session.

Notable outcomes included distribution deals between Nigerian delegates and Turkish firms. The delegation also visited Türkiye’s Economic and Foreign Relations Board (DEIK), where the Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum (TABEF) was confirmed for October 16–17, 2025.

Additionally, NTBC’s Director General Ms. Uche Osoka met with the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TiM) to finalize plans for a Turkish business delegation to visit Nigeria from August 4–7, 2025. The mission continues with factory tours and the Food Istanbul Fair (July 2–5).
