The Chairman of the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC), Hon. Dele Kelvin Oye, accompanied by the Director-General, Ms. Uche Osoka, paid a visit to the Turkish Ambassador, H.E. Amb. Mehmet Poroy, to debrief the Ambassador on the outcomes of the Türkiye–Nigeria Business Roundtable held in Ankara on the sidelines of the State Visit of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to Türkiye, and to present the report of the meeting

The Roundtable which had in attendance, 35+ eminient Turkiye business leaders was organised by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade and the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Trade Industry and Investment Nigeria (FMTII), the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC), and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

The meeting facilitated discussions centred on practical follow-up steps aimed at deepening bilateral trade relations and expanding trade relations along the lines of investment, partnership & joint ventures in infrastructure, manufacturing, technology transfer and many others between both countries.

A highlight of the meeting was the proposal by Hon. Mahmut Gürcan, Deputy Minister of Trade of Türkiye, for a Nigeria–Türkiye Business Forum to he held in Nigeria this year (2026)
