On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) held its 2025 end-of-year cocktail and induction of new members at the Turkish embassy compound in Abuja.
The event, jointly hosted by the Turkiye Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Ambassador Mehmet Poroy and the Chairman NTBC, Honourable Dele Kelvin Oye was a gathering of distinguished personalities, including government functionaries, the diplomatic community, Turkiye and Nigerian business leaders, partners, and members.
In attendance were distinguished guests, including Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Interior; Dr. Abdulateef Shittu, Director-General, Nigeria Governors’ Forum; Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, President, Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA); Mr. Tevfik Demirel, President of MUSIAD Nigeria, immediate past Nigerian Ambassador to Turkiye, H.E. Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, immediate past chairman of Turkiye-Nigeria Business Council Mr. Hakan Ozel, Director General of NTBC, Ms. Uche Osoka, Alh. Farouk Suleiman, President, Kaduna Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture, as well as representatives of NACCIMA, NAFDAC, NIPC, NEPZA, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The evening was an opportunity for networking, induction of 36 new members,
strengthening of Nigeria–Türkiye business connections, reflection on key achievements in 2025, and awards to partners and supporters

The evening featured insightful and inspiring remarks from His Excellency, Ambassador Mehmet Poroy, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Nigeria, who reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties; Honourable Dele Kelvin Oye, Chairman of NTBC, who highlighted the Council’s milestones and strategic vision; and Dr. Olutoye Ariyo, Chairman of Voyage Oil and Gas Limited, whose keynote address explored opportunities for deeper Nigeria–Türkiye economic collaboration, particularly within the aviation sector.
Set in a relaxed yet purposeful atmosphere, the cocktail provided a valuable platform for networking, idea exchange, and celebrating the progress made in advancing Nigeria–Türkiye business relations throughout the year.
