As part of ongoing efforts to deepen Nigeria–Türkiye economic relations, the Chairman of the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council, Hon. Dele Kelvin Oye Esq., accompanies the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Amb. Mehmet Poroy, and his delegation on a series of strategic engagements across key northern states.

The multi-state engagement commenced in Kaduna State, marking the first phase of the visit, and will extend to Kano State and Jigawa State.

As part of the Day One engagements in Kaduna, the delegation visited the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADDCIMA), where discussions focused on unlocking trade and investment opportunities across key sectors such as agriculture, livestock, manufacturing, and skills development.

The engagement aligns with the shared vision of both countries to scale bilateral trade to $5 billion while increasing investment flows, further strengthening economic cooperation.

Speaking during the engagement, the NTBC Chairman, Hon. Dele Kelvin Oye, Esq., reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to facilitating business linkages, supporting trade delegations, and positioning northern Nigeria particularly Kaduna as a strategic destination for investment and enterprise.

Plans are also underway to formalize collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NTBC and KADCCIMA to enhance trade and investment flows.

This engagement represents a strong step toward deepening Nigeria–Türkiye economic ties, fostering partnerships, and creating new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
