Türkiye Business Delegation Visits Lagos Free Zone, Lekki Deep Sea Port, BC Fibre & Mekang Distribution and Allied Resources Limited

The Turkish delegation received a warm welcome from the Lagos Free Zone team, led by CEO Mrs. Adesuwa Ladoja, who highlighted the Zone’s pivotal role in driving industrial growth and attracting foreign investment.
Key highlights of the visit included:

  • A tour of the Lekki Deep Sea Port, showcasing its world-class infrastructure
  • A visit to BC Fibre, a Turkish-owned company with existing operations in the Lagos Free Zone, to learn about its fibre manufacturing processes

Following these visits, the delegation met with Mekang Distribution and Allied Resources Limited to explore opportunities in exports and investment.

These engagements reinforced the shared commitment to strengthening Nigeria–Türkiye trade relations and expanding cooperation in logistics, manufacturing, and resource development.

Turkiye Business Delegation to Nigeria B2B meeting @ Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos – Day 1

DAY 1 5th August 2025:

The Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TiM) in partnership with the Nigeria-Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) with the coordination of the Ministry of Trade of the Turkiye Republic, hosted a multisectoral business delegation at a B2B meeting held at the Lagos Continental Hotel. The well attended opening ceremony featured remarks by Chairman of NTBC, Hon. Dele Kelvin Oye, represented by the Director General, Ms. Uche Osoka, Leader of the delegation and TiM Sector Council Member, Mr. Ali Can Yamanyılmaz and the President of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Mr. Gabriel Idahosa

The event brought together notable guests from Director General of LCCI, Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director General NASSI, Mr. Ifeanyi Oputa, the Commercial Counsellor, Turkiye Embassy, Mr. Sefa Akyol, President, MUSIAD Nigeria, Mr. Tevfik Demirel, General Manager, Turkish Air, Lagos, Mr. Richard Atigogo, Manager Sales, Lagos Free Zone, representing the Managing Director, Mrs. Adesuwa Ladoja, Mr. Joseph Oru, Commercial Director, DMG Events, Sir Ogala Osoka, Chairman, Score Nig. Ltd.

Nigerian companies across sectors such as engineering, FMCG, hygiene, furniture, and maritime services engaged with Turkish businesses to strengthen bilateral trade.

The event marked a step forward in fostering trade and investment ties between Nigeria and Türkiye.
